The health of your dog is VERY IMPORTANT.

You can see yourself the problems any dog could have …

Too heavy a dog can have problems with hips and shoulders.

It is very important to know the breeder and his dogs.
Give your baby dog the exercise and food it needs.
NO MORE.
No running beside the bike, not too much food. A fat dog stands a greater chance of hip problems.

Torsion - this is a rare problem but very serious

All dogs of this (big) size need to be quiet after eating.
No running or jumping for at least 2 hours ...
When a large dog has a full stomach and is on the move, its stomach can twist.
In this happens the dog will hardly be able to breathe and will try to throw up.
You need to take it IMMEDIATELY to the vet, because torsion requires surgery.

Long dogs (dachshunds, etc…) can have problems with their backs

Dog with long ears (cocker spaniels…) can have problems with them.

Your DdB will probably not have this problem.
You just have to dry its ears after swimming or playing in the water (with towel or tissue).

Doga with lots of skin (sharpei, mastino…)

Can have problems particularly in places where it is hot and wet (nose, foot...)

It is always better to prevent all these possible problems than have a sick dog and pay a lot of money to your vet later.
